I'm leaving my heavy camera behind!!!

I've been having back issues for a while now. One thing I wanted to try is to use is my iPhone and binoculars as my primary zoom lens to ...save on weight when it comes to carrying so much gear with me. I did take a tripod with me, as well as a binocular tripod mount. You will also need a holder for your phone in order to attach it to one of the binocular eye cups. I'll add some information on the items I brought with me.

In the end, it was a lot less gear to lug around. The shots taken with a tripod were very steady and did not need stabilization added in post. I did notice you can see a bit of blurriness or distortion on the edges, however it was usable. You can even crop in a bit when editing the footage. You should be able to follow the same steps I did or if you have any additional tips, leave them in the comments.

Back in 2022 I decided to spoil myself with Swarovski binoculars as I always wanted a pair. They should be good for life. Excellent size and weight. Super clear and bright!
