It's been a while since I've seen my little bird friend, Onefoot, a chestnut-backed chickadee. I miss seeing him terribly. I'm going to use the Cornell Lab Merlin Bird ID ...app on my phone to help me find and identify birds. My main goal is to spot some chestnut-backed chickadees, and hopefully, I'll be lucky enough to see Onefoot again. I can't wait to explore the park and see what kinds of birds I can find. It's always fun to use the app and learn more about the birds in our area. Maybe I'll even discover some new bird species I haven't seen before. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Onefoot is out there somewhere in Stanley Park.

These Birds Can Hover Like Hummingbirds
This was another first for me, seeing this bird hovering like a humming bird. The type of bird is the energetic Belted Kingfisher. One of my favorites, as ...I love their beak and 80βs spiked feather doo.
The area is the Nanaimo River Estuary, in British Columbia, Canada. You can see more from my ROO ROO on the road! Visiting nature spots in South & Central Vancouver Island video.
I've been having back issues for a while now. One thing I wanted to try is to use is my iPhone and binoculars as my primary zoom lens to ...save on weight when it comes to carrying so much gear with me. I did take a tripod with me, as well as a binocular tripod mount. You will also need a holder for your phone in order to attach it to one of the binocular eye cups. I'll add some information on the items I brought with me.
In the end, it was a lot less gear to lug around. The shots taken with a tripod were very steady and did not need stabilization added in post. I did notice you can see a bit of blurriness or distortion on the edges, however it was usable. You can even crop in a bit when editing the footage. You should be able to follow the same steps I did or if you have any additional tips, leave them in the comments.
Binocular tripod mount: Zelnoox Binocular Tripod Adapter. I purchased from Amazon, but it doesn't look like they sell it anymore. Looks like a good replacement can be this one: SUNWAYFOTO CC-09 Universal Binocular Tripod Adapter Super Clamp with Arca Swiss Adapter. https://rb.gy/7841gl
